Dr. Matt Skillen is the Assistant Provost and Dean of Faculty at McPherson College in McPherson, KS. Previously, Matt served as the R. W. Schlosser Professor of English and Dean of Faculty & Associate Provost for Student Learning at Elizabethtown College. While at Elizabethotwn College, Matt also held roles in the English Department, the Communications Department and in the Teaching and Learning Design Studio. His early teaching career included time as a middle school English/language arts teacher for Maize USD #266 in Maize, KS. He is an active member of the National Council of Teachers of English Middle Level Section and now serves as a member of the editorial team at Voices from the Middle with Dr. Robyn Seglem and Dr. Shanetia Clark.
